----=I'm gonna make hay while the sun shines=----
I swear it.
I feel a little embarrassed admitting this, but I had never heard this...oh, 500 year-old proverb until last week when I heard it slip casually from the lips of a news anchor...
but what a beautiful thought to keep posted on the cork board in the back of your head.
It's true, I was in a vulnerable condition when I was watching this particular news cast - still springing back from an unprecedented and bone-shaking grand mal seizure - but I think these words would have reverberated through me regardless of if I had just spent the last days being tested and stuck...barely getting off of my back, and thanking my lucky stars for the breath in my lungs and the beat in my heart. I'm sure of it, actually.
Make hay while the sun shines.
Strike while the iron's hot. Get while the getting's good. Act while opportunity still exists.
Live while you're alive...
I can't get it out of my head, and - I know this may sounds cheesy, but - I really feel like this is exactly the kind of thing that could change the course of the rest of my life.
